Kingston Outdoor Medium Sconce

Since its founding in 1974 in a rural Vermont barn, Hubbardton Forge has been a cornerstone of authentic American blacksmithing, blending traditional forging techniques with modern industrial design. Established by two University of Vermont graduates, George Chandler and Reed Hampton, the company has grown from a grassroots workshop into one of the oldest and largest commercial forges in the United States. Today, the brand is a primary resource for designers seeking "modern artifacts," offering an elite catalog of handcrafted steel and glass fixtures that serve as the high-end focal point for the most prestigious residential and hospitality projects.

What truly distinguishes Hubbardton Forge is its unwavering commitment to "material honesty" and the masterful execution of domestic manufacturing. The brand’s philosophy centers on the belief that every piece should be an original work of art, utilizing premium elements like heavy-gauge steel, hand-blown glass from local partners like Simon Pearce, and durable powder-coated finishes to create pieces that are both sustainable and heirloom-quality. By prioritizing a versatile aesthetic that bridges the gap between rugged New England heritage and sleek, avant-garde minimalism, the brand ensures its products provide a professional-grade aesthetic for any curated environment. This dedication to technical precision and bold, architectural silhouettes results in a signature look of understated luxury, making their fixtures an essential, high-impact element of any sophisticated space.
