Coral, one of David’s most popular pendant light designs, is now available as a table lamp! The Coral fixture is made from sustainable bamboo and references marine patterns found in nature. The Coral Table Lamp comes with a lighting stand and adapter- although you can outfit the fixture to any standard lamp base. The geometric design casts beautiful shadows and creates a statement in any room, home or office.
The David Trubridge Design Table Lamps are available in 3 designs, Coral, Floral, and Koura. Choose any of the standard stock finishes, or a custom color. The fixtures ship semi-assembled, a packaging method to reduce shipping cost.
In the ingenious CORAL design, 60 identical component pieces are CNC cut from flat plywood, which when assembled are bent in 3 dimensions to create a sphere. The negative space is a series of pentagons, diamonds & kites that cast dramatic shadow patterns. Shadows can be enhanced or diminished via lamping and proximity to surfaces.
The CORAL was designed through exploration of bucky balls and dodecahedrons. Further investigation of these geometrical concepts led to other spherical designs in the collection including FLORAL, MANUKA, POLA and SOLA.
