Angling above a pared-down black wood base, the expressive form that makes up the body of the Devant Table Lamp was inspired by a stylized version of the human form. The contemporized figurative element is made of white composite with subtle swirls of black running through it. These spritzes of the darker colors are tonally in sync with the base while the pale hues echo the crispness of the white linen shade and finial. The shape of the rectangular shade is beautifully scaled on this white table lamp designed by Ian Thornton.
