All fixtures carry damp or wet location ratings for outdoor use. For covered porches subject to humidity and temperature variation, damp-rated fans with weather-resistant blades are the minimum requirement. For open pergola structures exposed to rain, wet-rated fans with sealed motors and composite blades are required. Most include remote control and LED light kit options.
