Sylvon Canvas Art

At the intersection of high-fashion trends and the timeless soul of the artist’s studio, Renwil has defined the boundary between commercial lighting and high-impact decorative art. Founded in 1967 by Leo Rennert, the brand is famously rooted in Montreal, where it began as a small studio with the mission of bringing "the gallery experience" into the modern home. Today, Montreal Lighting & Hardware serves as a primary resource for designers requiring these curated solutions—from the sculptural, mid-century silhouettes of the Nola and Vernet series to the raw, industrial precision of the Hutch and Harlow collections—that anchor the most prestigious residential environments.

Renwil’s core identity is defined by an obsession with "artistic versatility" and the masterful execution of a collaborative design philosophy. Their approach rejects the predictable, opting instead to partner with a diverse collective of in-house artists who translate global inspirations into tangible textures—mixing hand-applied gold leaf, blackened steel, and white marble with specialized glasswork. By utilizing premium substrates and artisanal finishing techniques, the brand ensures its products provide a professional-grade aesthetic for any curated space. This dedication to technical integrity and bold, storytelling silhouettes results in a signature look of modern sophistication, making their lighting, mirrors, and rugs an essential, high-impact element of any well-designed contemporary interior.
